About Me
I started my career as a solicitor in the courts service, I was a legal adviser advising Magistrates on criminal and family matters, this was my first experience of the difficulties separating couples have navigating the court system and process. I stayed in the courts service for 20 years before deciding to train as a mediator. At the same time, I volunteered and managed citizens advice offices, helping clients who have been negatively affected by relationship separations with advice and signposting.
I am very passionate about the importance of resolving matters outside of court. It is quicker, less expensive and it reduces conflict, giving you control of making decisions. I believe helping positive communication, being child focussed and looking to the future, without dwelling on the past is key for the ongoing well-being of your separated family.
I trained as a mediator 7 years ago. I am qualified in child inclusive mediation and I am a professional practice consultant meaning I supervise other mediators. I am also a qualified send supervisor.
